Marathon Electric Motors (India) Limited, Kolkata for use in belowground Coal Mines in India– Renewal thereof.

Ref.: Test Report No.IN/CIMFR/TR20/H164 dated 19.10.2020 and the associated drawings as mentioned at para no.13 of the test report.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62253/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 25.02.2023 on the above subject and test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 573(A) of 2010) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 60/399/EHQ dated 05.02.2010 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 05.02.2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
