Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, of  RHINO-100 Shots Exploder for use in belowground coal mines for sinking & drifting operation and in metalliferous mines for all operations where Regulation 142 of the Metalliferous Mines Regulation 1961, is applicable manufactured by M/s. Electronic Equipment Manufacturing Co., Kolkata – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your letter no. EEMC: SS: DGMS: 20-21, dated 12.08.2020 and online application ID 30595, dated 13.08.2020 on the above subject.

                             In view of satisfactory performance reports from the mines, I, in exercise of powers conferred on me under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 and  Regulation 165 (3) of the Metalliferous Mines regulation,1961, hereby renew the approval granted by this Directorate vide letter No. 14(11)72-Genl/1301, dated 13.05.2004 &  S 66021/165/2006-Genl/ RP-11, dated 18.02.2016 for further period of two years upto 31.10.2022.The approval shall remain valid till the manufacturer has a valid BIS certification.
