Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for 1100 V, 250 A, DELTA flameproof boltless gate end box (with DVS 10 CB vacuum contactor) of approval No.451 of 1997, manufactured by M/s. Mine Line Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, for use in belowground Coal Mines– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No.E-29021/61371/2022/Electrical (HQ) dated 27.09.2022, offline application No. M22/DGMS/31 dated 27.09.2022 on the above subject & test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 451 of 1997) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 333/641/EHQ dated 11.08.1997 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 15.09.2024 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
