Please refer to your online application ID No. 20311dated 28.02.2020 on the above subject.

In view of difficulties expressed by you, I, by virtue of powers conferred upon me under Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 hereby renew the approval of Instantaneous Copper Electric Detonators (CED) for use in belowground coal mines/ seams of first and second degree gassiness for a further period of two years i.e. from 30.03.2020 to 29.03.2022., subject to compliance with the conditions stipulated vide this Directorate’s letter No. 14(2)99/Genl/2227 dated 21.06.2000 and the other renewal letters.

 Further Regulation 2(23) of Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 mentioned in the said letter shall be read as Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.
