Sub:  Renewal Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof weatherproof Bulk Head Fitting in cast iron construction as designated by Type No. FLP-RH-106 of DGMS Approval No.556 of 2007 manufactured by M/s Flameproof Equipments Pvt Ltd., Mumbai Confirming  to IS/IEC 60079-1:2014,IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60529:2001(Reaffirmed 2014) for use in belowground Coal Mines in india -Renewal thereof.

With reference to your online application No. E-29021|62308|2025|Electrical (HQ)dated 10/04/2025 on the above subject, and based on the test reports and documents submitted in this regard:

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 556 of 2007 granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 306/1070/EHQ dated 03.05.2007 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 27.06.2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines.  The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with. 

The conditions mentioned in the original approval and all subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

You are also advised to submit the test reports of the associated electrical items of the machine conforming to the latest applicable testing standards within three (03) months, if the same has not already been submitted.

Please note that any future application for renewal must be submitted at least three (03) months prior to the date of expiry of the approval.
