Subject:   Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for flameproof/weatherproof energy-saving well glass lighting fitting in cast iron construction rated at 26W CFL at 110 VAC, designated by type no. LF-05 manufactured by M/s. Electrical Equipment Corporation, Gurgaon conforming to  IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62135/2024/Electrical(HQ) dated 29.11.2024, offline documents submitted vide letter no.EEC/DGMS/RKG dated 22.06.2024 on the above subject and CIMFR test report No.IN/CIMFR/TR22/R/H244 dated 08.09.2022, BIS License No. CM/L-2291047 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of MinesSafety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMSApproval No.648 of 2012) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 362/2216/EHQ dated 04.10.2012 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 26.10.2026 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
