Subject : Approval of Chemical (Oxygen type) Self Rescuer Model “Raksha Kavach” with starter and indicator manufactured by M/s. Suparna Chemicals Limited, Mumbai – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application vide  Id No. 62124 dated 15.11.2024 on the above subject.

In view of satisfactory performance report from Mines Rescue Room, M/s The Hutti Gold Mines Limited, Mines Rescue Station, M/s WCL and test reports of CIMFR, I, by virtue of the powers conferred on me under Rule 11(5) of Mines Rescue Rules, 1985 and Regulation 243 (1) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the  approval (SA-5/2004) for Chemical (Oxygen type) Self Rescuer Model “Raksha Kavach” with starter and indicator for use in mines.

The renewal of the Approval is subjected to following conditions:

1. All the conditions of the Approval Granted vide this Directorate Letter no.S 65019/5/2006-Genl/ RP- 38 dated 16.02.2015 shall remain unchanged except the validity of the Approval.

2.Regulation 191 D (1) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 of the said letter shall be read as Regulation 243 (1) of the (Amended) Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.

3.The Validity of the Renewal shall be for the period of 05 years i.e.  upto 15.02.2030.

4.Further renewal of the approval can be sought  through online application atleast 90 days prior to the expiry of the  validity.
