Sub: Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof squirrel cage Induction motor rated at 75 HP, 550 V, 3 Phase, 50 HZ, 3000 RPM synchronous speed, continuous duty in class F insulation in frame size-E250M manufactured by M/s. CG Power and Industrial solutions Ltd, Ahmednagar, conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in belowground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62404/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 06.06.2025 on the above subject and test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval ( Approval No. 79 Gr-I of 1974) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 83/G/601/EHQ dated 02.05.1974 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 08.07.2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of this approval.
