Sub:   Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof vacuum circuit breaker in enclosure, type - D5 rated up to 400A, up to 6.6 KV in fabricated MS construction, manufactured by M/s- SAIT TEKNIK PVT. LTD, Kolkata, conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in below-ground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Dear Sir,

With reference to your online application No. E-29021|62535|2025|Electrical (HQ)dated 09/09/2025 on the above subject,  the  BIS licence no. CM/L- 5805269 with endorsement no. 13 dated 20/09/2024  with validity up to 31/10/2025;and The test report no. IN/CIMFR/TR22/R/1766, dated 05.09.2022, with drawing no. 06144 SA Rev.02 (Sheet 1 to 6) dated 16/03/2020 for testing standards IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014; test reports and documents submitted in this regard:

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No.  598 of 2010) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 333/859/EHQ dated 06.04.2010 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 08/10/2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines.  The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with. 

 Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.

The conditions mentioned in the original approval and all subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

You are also advised to submit the test reports of the associated electrical items of the machine conforming to the latest applicable testing standards within three (03) months, if the same has not already been submitted.
