Subject:-  Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for flameproof/weatherproof Plug & Socket rated at 80A, 550V Volt AC, Type SP-PS-150 in Cast Iron/ Brass/Gun Metal Construction, manufactured by M/s. Speed India, Howrah conforming to IS/IEC 60079-1:2014,& IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India- Renewal approval thereof.

Ref No-:Test report No- IN/CIMFR/TR20/H269 dated: 5/12/2020 and CIMFR certified drawing no. SP-PS-150-03 (Sheet: 01).

Sir/Madam,

Please refer to your online application no. E-29021/61920/2024/Electrical (HQ) dated 19/05/2024 on the above subject and test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard. 

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 795 of 2022) granted regular approval vide this Directorate's letter No.E-29021/51248/2022/EHQ, Dhanbad, dated: 16/08/2022 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 12/08/2026 for use in belowground Coal Mines.

The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.

The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of this approval.
