Sub: Renewal of Approval under Regulatuion 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations 2017 for use of Man Riding Chairlift System of M/s Indicon Westfalia Ltd. working between surface to 41L/4 seam of Godavarikhani No. 2 & 2A Incline mine in Ramagundam Area –I of the Singareni Collieries Company Ltd.

Sir,

1. Please refer to (i) your online application made vide ID: 62484 dated 11.08.2025, (ii) Mech(HQ)/Fld Trial/Chair-I/BWD/495 Dtd. 13/09/2006  & Extensions thereof, (iii) Regular Approval vide Letter No. Mech(HQ)/APP/Chair-lift/BWD/ 51 Dtd. 14/01/2008 and Renewals thereof & subsequent correspondence on this Subject.

2. In exercise of the powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations 2017, I hereby renew the validity of approval refer Para1(iii) to use Man Riding Chairlift System working between surface to 41L/4 Seam at Godavarikhani No. 2 & 2A Incline mine in  Ramagundam Area –I of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd., for a period of five years i.e. upto 17.09.2025 subject to the conditions mentioned in earlier approvals vide Para 1(ii), 1(iii) and the following additional conditions.

(i) Man riding Chair Lift System shall be maintained as practicable as per IS 17242:2019

(ii) Ref. Annexure (Electricals) SNo. 3,4 and 5 associated Electrical Equipment (Make : M/s Electrical Equipment Corporation(EEC):DGMS approval refered was not conforming to current regulatory standards- revalidation with an updated approval or replacement required.

(iii) Details of electrical safety devices with range and set points to be submitted.

(iv) An updated single-line diagram of the man riding chair lift system to be submitted.

3. Compliance of conditions in para 2(ii), 2(iii), 2(iv) to be submitted within 30 days from the date of issue of this letter, The application for regular approval/ extension shall be made online at least 90 days before the date of expiry of this approval.
