Subject: Approval of 'Velox' GL-50 Gas Testing Flame Safety Lamp with “Snuffer Device” for use in mines manufactured by M/s J.K. Dey, Kolkata- Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application ID No. 62101, dated 28.10.2024 on the above subject.

In view of the satisfactory performance reports from user mines, I, in exercise of powers conferred on me under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval ( SA-6/82) of 'Velox' GL-50 Gas Testing Flame Safety Lamp with “Snuffer Device” for use in mines.

The renewal of the Approval is subjected to following conditions:

1. All the conditions of the Approval Granted vide this Directorate Letter no.16(14)73-Genl/2765, dated 20.12.2005 shall remain unchanged except the validity of the Approval.

2.The Validity of the Renewal shall be for the period of 05 years i.e.  upto 30.11.2029.

3.The vaidity of the product is subjected to valid BIS certifcation.

4. Further renewal of the approval can be sought  through online application atleast 90 days prior to the expiry of the  validity.
