Subject: Approval of Permitted Copper Coated Instantaneous Electric Detonators (CDET Electra-P) for use  in belowground gassy coal mines/seams of first degree manufactured by M/s CDET Explosive Industries Private Limited, Nagpur – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your letter No.VKA/DGMS/2019-20/0 242 /HD dated 05.11.2019, and online application ID No. 20331dated 04.11.2019 on the above subject.

In view of satisfactory performance reports from mines, I, in exercise of the power conferred on me under Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval of Permitted Copper Coated Instantaneous Electric Detonators (CDET Electra-P) for use in belowground gassy coal mines/seams of first degree manufactured by M/s. CDET Explosive Industries Private Limited granted vide this Directorate’s letter No. S 66021/21/2012-Genl/ 187, dated 22.01.2013 for further five years i.e. from 22.01.2020 up to 21.01.2025. Regulation 2(23) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 of the said letter shall be read as Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.
