Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for DGMS approval No. 131 Group-I of 1977 of flameproof and intrinsically safe Gate End Box, Type-ABC/76/GEB rated upto 150 HP, 440/550 V, 3 phase, 50 Hz with cable sealing box and terminal chamber for incoming, isolator chamber with suitable mechanical interlock for front cover of the main chamber having ammeter with inspection window ‘Start-Stop’ push buttons, earth leakage relay reset with inspection window manufactured by M/s. ABC Electricals Private Ltd., Kolkata for use in belowground Coal Mines– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/51245/2022/Electrical (HQ) dated 21.05.2022 on the above subject & test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 131 Group-I of 1977) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 299/C/76/358/EHQ dated 24.03.1977 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 13.06.2026 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
