Subject : Approval under Regulation 181 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 for flameproof/weatherproof Push Button station, type-KPB1-A in cast iron construction rated up to 10 A, 650 V with pilot core protection through diode and resistance for remote control of gate end box through pilot core of trailing cable manufactured by M/s. Kaysons Techno Equipment Pvt. Limited, Vithal Udyog Nagar ,Gujarat conforming to IS/IEC 60079-1:2014, IS/IEC 60079-0:20187 and IS/IEC 60529:2001 (Reaffirmed 2014) for use in belowground Coal Mines–Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application no. E-29021/62577/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 14/10/2025, and test report no. IN/CIMFR/TR/19/H 168 dated 01/10/202189 was found furnished with Type examination certificate no. CMF 19 IN Ex 0004 dated 01/10/2025 & drawing no. PB-001-14, Rev.04 dated 26/08/2019 and clarification letter no. CIMFR/FES/Clarification/22-23/249 dated 15/07/2022, CM/L- 7357884 with Endorsement No. 31 Dated 06-Sep-2021 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 505 of 2004) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 464/330/EHQ dated 13.02.2004 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 26/11/2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
