In view of the difficulties expressed by you, I, in exercise of the powers conferred on Chief Inspector of Mines, also designated as Director General of Mines Safety under Sub-Regulation 3 of Regulation 208 of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 and Regulation 122, 126(3)(b) & 141 of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961, hereby approve Portable Gas Detector Alarm Amplifier Model-X-Zone 5500 (AAC00xx) manufactured by M/s Drager Safety AG & Co. KGaA, Revalstrasse, Schleswing-Holstein, Lubeck, D- 23560, Germany ’for detection of gases CH4 , H2S , O2 , CO, CO2 & H2’ for use in Gas Group–I & Gas Group–II in Coal & Metal Mines for a period of two years subject to strict compliance of the conditions of approval granted vide the Directorate’s letter Nos. MSE-29022/41059/2021/MSE(HQ) dated 15.3.2022 and corrigendum letter No. MSE-29022/51230/2022/MSE(HQ) dated 29.04.2022
