Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof and Intrinsically Safe electrical equipment (08 nos. as mentioned in Annexure-A) to be associated with Load Haul Dump Machine,Model-811 manufactured by M/s. Eimco Elecon (India) Ltd., Vallabh Vidyanagar (Gujarat) for use in belowground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application no. E-29021/62542/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 19/09/2025 , inclusion of PDB in 811 LHD issued vide letter no. 693/EHQ Dhanbad dated 01/04/2016 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 321/1054/EHQ dated 09.09.1994) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 321/1054/EHQ dated 09.09.1994 for a further period of five(5) years, i.e. up to 19/11/2030  for use in belowground Coal Mines.

The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
