Subject: DGMS approval no. 130 Group-I of 1977 under Regulation 181 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 for flameproof rotor resistance type "FR2" for 3 phase slipring induction motor rated at 50 HP, 660 V, 50 Hz, 5 minute, provided with integral common terminal box for incoming and outgoing and cast iron cable sealing boxes and glands type "FR50" conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079 1:2014 for use in belowground coal Mines-renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021|62521|2025|Electrical (HQ) dated 02/09/2025, on the above subject and CIMFR test report No. IN/CIMFR/TR25/H57, dated:27.05.2025, BIS License No. CM/L-5208857, drawing no: E340002/A5/I, Rev-07 dated: 01.03.2025. and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (130 Gr 1 of 1977) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 315/B/76/94/EHQ dated 27.01.1977 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 27.10.2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions stipulated in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with. Additionally, the test report indicating the Ingress Protection (IP) rating, as required under Clause 26.4.5 of IS/IEC 60079-0:2017, is to be submitted to this Directorate within three (03) months from the date of issue of the renewal approval. Failure to comply with this condition may result in the withdrawal of the approval without further communication.

Please note that an application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
