In view of difficulties expressed by you, I, by virtue of powers conferred upon me under Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 hereby renew the approval of Solar Instantaneous Copper Electric   Detonators (CED) for use in belowground coal mines/ seams of Third  Degree for a further period of two year i.e. from 18.12.2019 to 17.12.2021, subject to compliance with the conditions  stipulated vide this Directorate’s letter No. S 66021/180/2006-Genl/RP-1142 dated 08.12.2014. Further Regulation 2(23) of Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 of the said letter shall be read as Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.
