Please refer to your online application No. E-29021|62519|2025|Electrical (HQ) dated 01/09/2025, on the above subject and test report nos. as per Annexure-A, General arrangement Drawing no: 5100007726 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon the Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 706 of 2015) vide this Directorate's letter No. 483/2583/EHQ dated 12.12.2015 for a period of Two years, i.e., up to 27.10.2027, for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.

Conditions: Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, for Flameproof and Intrinsically Safe Electrical Equipment (as mentioned in Annexure-A) to be associated with 12CM15 Continuous Miner manufactured by M/s. Joy Global (UK) for use in below-ground Coal Mines.

Valid test reports conforming to the applicable IEC 60079-11:2023 standards for Intrinsically safe electrical equipment elaborated at Serial Nos. 12, 13,23, 24, 25, and 26 of Annexure-A to DGMS Approval No. 706 of 2015, must be submitted to this Directorate within three (03) months from the date of issue of the renewal permission. Failing this, the permission is liable to be withdrawn without further communication.
