Sub:   Renewal of approval of Solar Copper Delay Detonators (Epoxy Powder Coated Steel Shell) Delay 0-6 nos for use in belowground coal mines/seams of second degree gassiness manufactured by M/s. Solar Industries India Limited, Nagpur.

Please refer to your letter No. Nil dated 11.10.2019 and online application no. nil dated 05.02.2019 and your online reply letter no. nil dated 12.02.2020 on the above subject.

In view of difficulties expressed by you, I, by virtue of powers conferred upon me under Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 hereby renew the approval of of   Solar Copper Delay Detonators (Epoxy Powder Coated Steel Shell) Delay 0-6 nos for use in belowground coal mines/ seams of second degree for a further period of two years i.e. from 09.03.2020 to 08.03.2022, subject to compliance with the conditions stipulated vide this Directorate’s letter No. S-66021/03/2015-Genl/P-47 dated 09.03.2015. Further Regulation 2(23) of Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 mentioned in the said letter shall be read as Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.
