Safex (India), Dhanbad for use in belowground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62609/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 30/10/2025 and CIMFR test report Nos. IN/CIMFR/TR21/H 54 dated 13/05/2021 with type examination certificate no. CMF 21 INEx 0176 dated 12/05/2021 & Drawing no. SP/PCS/284/10 (Sheet 1 to 2) Rev.03 dated 17/09/2019, BIS License No. CM/L- 5063756 with endorsement no. 51 dated 09/06/2025 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No.488 of 2003) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 429/155/EHQ dated 31.01.2003 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 21/12/2030 for use in below ground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
