Please refer to your online application No. E-29021|62165|2024|Electrical (HQ), dated 19/12/2024, CIMFR test report Nos. IN/CIMFR/TR20/H249, Dt: 10.12.2020 with the associated drawing no. FEPL/Well Glass/17-CI, Rev-03 dated 18.09.2020 & BIS license no. CM/L- 0850855 and subsequent correspondence thereupon the above subject.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon the Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 695 of 2015) granted vide this Directorate’s letter No. 306/579/EHQ dated 31.03.2015 for a further five years, i.e. up to 31.03.2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines.

In the interest of safety, the OEM guidelines shall be adhered to, and spares supplied by OEM shall only be used while maintaining the apparatus. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with. The test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not before.

Please note that an application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the approval expires.
