Industries Syndicate, Kolkata, conforming to IS/IEC 60079-1:2014, IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 for use in belowground Coal Mines-Renewal thereof

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021|62529|2025|Electrical (HQ), dated 05/09/2025, on the above subject, along with the CIMFR Test and Assessment Report No. Test Report No. IN/CIMFR/TR22/R/2636 dated 08/12/2022, BIS License No. CM/L-5208857, Drawing No. M730002/A2 Group-I. and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 283 Group-I of 1987) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 315/87/1066/EHQ dated 09.09.1987 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 21.10.2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
