Sub: Approval No. 160 Group-I of 1978 under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof squirrel cage induction motor rated at 250 HP(187 KW), 500/550 V, 3 phase, 50 HZ, 2830 RPM continuous duty in frame size- E315L conforming to IS/IEC 60079-1:2014, IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 manufactured by M/s- Crompton Greaves Ltd, Ahmednagar for use in belowground Coal Mines – Permissible variation thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. 61727 dated 20.11.2023 and letter No.LTM/DGMS/REN/2023-24/160V dated 20.11.2023 on the above subject & test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
The matter has been examined and based on the ERTL test report No. ERTL(E)/TES/C299/0023/08-22/NABL dated 27.09.2022, the following permissible variation is allowed without affecting flameproof features of the above Flameproof squirrel cage induction motor subject to fulfilment of the conditions stipulated in DGMS approval No. 160 Group-I of 1978.
