Subject: DGMS approval No. 581 of 2009 under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for intrinsically safe Lodestar System conforming IS/IEC 60079:11:2011 manufactured by M/s. SAIT Mine Line Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata for use in belowground Coal Mines– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/51105/2022/Electrical (HQ) dated 22.01.2022, offline application No. SMPL/DM/D34/22/01 dated 25.01.2022, CIMFR test report Nos. IN/CIMFR/TR21/R/1075 dated 15.07.2021 and BIS License No. CM/L- 5458981 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard. 

 

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 581 of 2009) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 333/794/EHQ dated 15.04.2009 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 17.03.2024 for use in belowground Coal Mines.  The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with. 

 

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
