Simmons Equipment Company, USA for use in belowground coal mines in India- Renewal approval thereof.

Dear Sir,
With reference to your online application No. E-29021/62386/2025/Electrical(HQ) dated 03.06.2025 on the above subject, and based on the test reports and documents submitted inthis regard:
 

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as the Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations,2017,I hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No.806 of 2023),initially granted vide this Directorate letter No.29021|61502|2023|Electrical(HQ),Dhanbad, Dated: 10.04.2023, for a further period of two(02) years, i.e., up to 23.07.2027, for use in belowground coal mines.

You are also advised to submit the test reports of the associated electrical items of the machine confirming to the latest applicable testing standards within three (03) months, if the same has not already been submitted.
Please note that any future application for renewal must be submitted at least three (03)months prior to the date of expiry of the approval.

Annexure-B

            List of associated electrical items with Battery Operated Haular, Model: SE 40 Flameproof and Intrinsically Safe Electrical Equipment (as per Annexure-B) manufactured by M/s. Simmons Equipment Company, USA for use in belowground coal mines in India under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.
