Sub:   Approval under regulation 208(3) of the coal mines regulation, 2017 for  flameproof and intrinsically safe electrical equipments for Remote control by multi core control cable associated with  Electrical LHD, Model-912E (as per Annexure-B), manufactured by M/s-Eimco Elecon (India) Ltd, for use in below ground coal mines in India  - Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No-E-29021/51182/2022/Electrical(HQ) dated 08.03.2022 on the above subject & test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under regulation 208(3) of coal mines regulations,2017 hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No-536 of 2005) granted vide this Directorate 's letter No-321/742/EHQ, Dhanbad, dated 10.06.2005 for a further period of five years, i.e up to 10.06.2025 for use in belowground coal mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any , shall be strictly complied with. Please be informed that this directorate reserves the right to order the conduction of additional tests conforming to relevant standards/regulations on the approved electrical apparatuses in the interest of safety. 

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three(3) months before the date of expiry of the approval, enclosing the test reports conforming  to the latest  standards.
