Sub: Approval (SA-02/2013) of miner’s safety LED cap lamp model “Smartlite-L” manufactured by M/s Industrial Precision Products, Kolkat  -  Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online letter No. Nil dated 25.01.2020 on the above subject.

In view of the satisfactory performance report,  I, by virtue of powers conferred on me under Regulation 2(2) of the Coal Mines Regulation, 2017 and Regulation 2(2) of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961 hereby grant renewal of approval (SA-02/2013) of miner’s safety LED cap lamp model “Smartlite-L” conforming to IS/IEC 60079-11:2006 and IS/IEC 60079-0:2007 manufactured by you for use in underground mines for a period of five years i.e., from 24.01.2020 to 23.01.2025, subject to the compliance with the conditions stipulated vide this Directorate letters No. S-66021/12/2012-Genl/220 dated 24.01.2013 and S-66021/12/2012-Genl/RP-53 dated 30.04.2015 and with the following conditions:-

1.       A statement of the supplies made to mines along with their addresses shall be submitted at this Directorate at the time of subsequent renewal of approval for obtaining performance reports from the users by this Directorate.

2.       The product shall be tested at any Govt./Govt. Approved laboratory whenever standard of testing regime changes and the approval is revalidated  from this Directorate under new/revised testing standard (s).

3.       The manufacturer shall have a valid BIS certification.
