Please refer to your online ID No. 30422 dated 30.01.2020 and on the above subject.

In view of satisfactory performance report from Mines Rescue Station, I, by virtue of the powers conferred on me under Rule 11(5) of Mines Rescue Rules, 1985 and Regulation 243 (1) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the validity of approval (SA-5/2004) for Chemical Oxygen type Self Rescuer Model “Raksha Kavach” with starter and indicator manufactured by you for use in mines for a period of five years i.e. from 16.02.2020 to 15.02.2025 subject to strict compliance of all the conditions stipulated vide this Directorate’s letter No. S 65019/5/2006-Genl/ RP- 38 dated 16.02.2015.

Further Regulation 191 D (1) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 of the said letter shall be read as Regulation 243 (1) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.
