Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mine Regulations, 2017 for Flame-proof Bolted Plug and socket, Type DV/B/PS-33 rated at up to 600 A and up to 3300V conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 manufactured by M/s- MINE LINEPVT.LTD (India), Kolkata, for use in the below-ground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021|62715|2026|Electrical (HQ) dated 29/01/2026, on the above subject and CIMFR Test and Assessment Report No. IN/CIMFR/TR25/R/H240, dated 20.11.2025, BIS License No. CM/L-0000893166, drawing no: 150630, dated:09.04.2025, and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 749 of 2019) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 333/269/EHQ dated 15/03/2019 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 05.04.2028 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with, and the test reports of all the electrical apparatus covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of this approval.
Condition: The latest test report indicating the Temperature Class shall be submitted to this Directorate within three (03) months from the date of issuance of this approval, failing which the approval shall be liable to be withdrawn without any further correspondence.
