Ltd., Solapur conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in belowground coal mines- Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62026/2024/Electrical (HQ)dated 20.09.2024 on the above subject and ERTL Test Report No.  ERTL (E) / TES/L077/0021/11-22/NABL dated 09/03/2023 and the associated drawing nos. LHP/Exdb/132S/M, Rev.no.03 dated 26.11.2022, and other documents submitted in addition to that in this regard. 

 I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 641 of 2012) granted vide this Directorate's letter No.493/1653/EHQ dated 06.07.2012 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 06.07.2029 for use in belowground Coal Mines. 

In the interest of safety, the OEM guidelines shall be adhered to and spares, supplied by OEM shall only be used while maintaining the Motor. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with. The test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not before.

 Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
