In view of the satisfactory performance reports from user mines and in exercise of the power conferred on the Chief Inspector of Mines also designated as Director General of Mines Safety under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 and Regulation 122, 126(3)(b) & 141 of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961, I, hereby grant renewal of (Approval No. SA-02/2023) one to five sensors gas detector Model: GX-3R PRO, manufactured by M/s Riken Keiki Co. Ltd., Japan, for detection of  Methane, Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulphide, Carbon Dioxide and Oxygen gases, in Coal & Metalliferous Mines, subject to strict compliance of the following conditions:-

1. All the conditions of the approval granted vide this Directorate's letter No.MSE-29022/61554/2023/MSE(HQ); dated 23.05.2023, shall remain unchanged except the validity.
2. Further renewal of the approval can be sought through online application at least 90 days prior to the expiry of the validity.
3. The product shall be tested at any Govt./Govt. Approved laboratory, whenever, standard of testing regime changes and the approval is revalidated from this Directorate, under new/revised testing standard (s).
4. The renewal shall be valid for the period of 05 years i.e. up to 22.05.2030.
