DV/R/PS-1 rated at 200 A,550/1100 V, 3 phase, 50 Hz, manufactured by M/s. Mine Line Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in below-ground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021|62471|2025|Electrical (HQ), dated 31.07.2025, on the above subject, along with the CIMFR Test & Assessment Report No. IN/CIMFR/TR20/H85, dated 26.08.2020, CIMFR/FES/Cons/22-23/242, dated 21.06.2022, BIS License No. CM/L-0893166, Drawing No. 080871 (Sheet 1 to 2), dated 26.04.2025, and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 298 Group-I of 1989) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 333/1439/EHQ dated 21.09.1989 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 08.09.2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with, along with the following condition:
Condition: The test report indicating the ingress protection rating, as per Clause 26.4.5 of IS/IEC 60079-0:2017, shall be submitted to this Directorate within three months from the date of issue of the renewal letter. Failure to submit the report within the stipulated time shall render the approval liable for withdrawal without any further notice.
Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
