Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for flameproof fan cooled squirrel cage induction motor up to 5 HP(3.7 KW), 3 phase, 381/440 V, 50 Hz, 2920 RPM with detachable (3 terminals) terminal box fitted with sealing box and glands for wire armoured cables and with class ‘E’ insulation in frame size E 112M manufactured by M/s CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd., Ahmednagar conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in belowground Coal Mines _Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application no. E-29021/62398/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 06/06/2025 on the above subject and test report no. ERTL (E)/TES/C 299/06-22/NABL dated 27/09/2022, CM/L-0000870053 with endorsement no.71 dated 22/05/2025 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 137 Group-I of 1977) granted for renewal approval vide this Directorate's letter No. vide letter no. E-29021|20249|2019|Electrical(HQ dated 05/05/2021 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 06/08/2025
for use in belowground Coal Mines in India.
Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
