Subject: Renewal Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof and intrinsically safe electrical equipment (as mentioned in Annexure-B) to be associated with Side Discharge Loader-Low Height in Seam Loader, model-611 ISL manufactured by M/s. Eimco Elecon (India) Ltd., Vallabh Vidyanagar for use in belowground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

With reference to your online application No. E-29021|62292|2025|Electrical (HQ) dated 29/03/2025 on the above subject, and based on the test reports and documents submitted in this regard:
In exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, for Flameproof and intrinsically safe electrical equipment (as mentioned in Annexure-B) associated with Side Discharge Loader-Low Height in Seam Loader, model-611 ISL manufactured by M/s. EIMCO ELECON (India) Ltd hereby renew the approval ( DGMS Approval No. 321/86/524/EHQ dated 02.07.1986) for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 11.06.2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.
You are also advised to submit the test reports of the associated electrical items of the machine conforming to the latest applicable testing standards within three (03) months, if the same has not already been submitted.
Please note that any future application for renewal must be submitted at least three (03) months prior to the date of expiry of the approval.
