Marathon Electric Motors (India) Limited, Kolkata conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in belowground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application no. E-29021/62451/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 17/07/2025 and test report no. IN/CIMFR/TR25/R/290 dated 29/05/2025 with drawing no. AP 436 Rev.03 (Sheet 01 to 02), BIS License No. CM/L- 5412755 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 322 of 1993) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 60/167/EHQ dated 24.02.1993 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 08/09/2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.
Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
