Subject: DGMS approval No. 125 Group-I of 1976 under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for flameproof squirrel cage induction motor rated at 150 HP, 500/550 V, 3 phase, 50 Hz, 1475 RPM in frame size-E315 M conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2011 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 manufactured by M/s Crompton Greaves Ltd., Ahmednagar for use in belowground Coal Mines–Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/41016/2021/Electrical (HQ) dated 07.10.2021, offline application No. LTM/DGMS/REN/2020-21/13 dated 11.10.2021 on the above subject and ERTL test report No. ERTL(E)/TES/C299/0015/12-19 dated 01.05.2020, BIS License No. CM/L- 0870053 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 125 Group-I of 1976) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 83/76/1533/EHQ dated 04.12.1976 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 04.04.2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.
Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
