Subject:  Approval of Pentadyne-HP (Composition PE-5U) for use in gassy coal mines/seams of first-degree gassiness manufactured by M/s. IDL Explosives Limited Hyderabad – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your letter No. IDL/RKL/Safety & LC/2025/No. 36 & 37; dated 25.04.2025 and online application No. 62325 dated 25.04.2025 on the above subject.                                   

In view of the difficulties expressed by you, I, by virtue of powers conferred on me under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval of Pentadyne-HP (Composition PE-5U) for use in gassy coal mines/seams of first-degree gassiness manufactured by M/s. IDL Explosives Limited, Hyderabad.

The renewal of the Approval is subjected to following conditions:

1. All the conditions of the approval granted vide this Directorate’s letter No. S 66021/196/2006-Genl/ 2949 dated 28.08.2009 shall remain unchanged except the validity of the approval.
2. All precautions in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 applicable for transport, storage, handling, charging, use and firing of the explosive in underground coal mines shall be strictly observed..
3. Any accident, injuries including loss of lives or properties caused due to defects or malfunctioning of this product shall be adequately indemnified by the manufacturer in written agreement with the users.
4. The renewal shall be valid for the period of 02 years i.e. up to 27.04.2027.
