Sub: Renewal Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof Master Drum Controller, in mild steel construction designated by Model No. RFDC-04 rated at RV-600 V(max.), RA-300 A(max.) to be fitted with slipring motor upto 250 KW, 550 V manufactured by M/s. Rana Sales & Service Pvt. Ltd., Panchkula conforming to IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 and IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 for use in belowground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

With reference to your online application No. E-29021|62323|2025|Electrical (HQ)dated 22/04/2025 on the above subject, and based on the test reports and documents submitted in this regard:

In exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, I hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 545 of 2006) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 500/486/EHQ dated 20.04.2006 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 11.06.2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines.  The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with. 

 Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
