Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for flameproof Transwitch Unit (combined) rated at 1000 KVA, primary voltage upto 3300 V and secondary voltage upto 1100 V in Mild Steel fabricated steel plate construction Type - 2140, manufactured by M/s. Mine Line Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, for use in belowground Coal Mines– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No.E-29021/61337/2022/Electrical (HQ) dated 26.08.2022, offline application No. M22/DGMS/26 dated 26.08.2022 on the above subject & test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the Approval No. 560 of 2007 granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 333/1870/EHQ dated 06.08.2007 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 06.08.2024 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under this approval, conforming to the latest standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
