Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/30782/2021/Electrical (HQ) dated 02.03.2021 and offline application No. SE/MKTG/DGMS/LHD, dated 31.07.2025 on the above subject & DGMS Approval/test report Nos. as per Annexure-A and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 538 of 2005) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 443/905/EHQ dated 18.07.2005, for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 15.09.2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.

Condition:The test report for the FLP fan-cooled squirrel cage induction motor in frame size LE225M, rated 60 HP, 550 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz, along with the latest IS/IEC 60079-11:2023 compliance report for the Audio-Visual Alarm with Power Unit (24 VAC/12 VDC) mentioned at Serial No. 11, shall be submitted to this Directorate within three months from the date of issue of the renewal letter. Failure to submit the above within the stipulated period will render the permission liable to withdrawal without any further communication.
