Ampcontrol UK Ltd) conforming to  IS/IEC 60079-0:2017, IS/IEC 60079-1:2014  and IS/IEC 60079-11:2011 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62219/2025/Electrical (HQ)dated 04.02.2025 on the above subject, the Test Report No. IN/CIMFR/TR25/R/H10 dated 23.04.2025 issued by M/s CIMFR, the associated drawing nos. as listed in para 12 of the above test report and other documents submitted therewith in this regard. 

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. E- 00134/3 of 2019) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. NO: E-29021|122|2018|Electrical(HQ) dated 19.07.2019 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 19.07.2029 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India. 

In the interest of safety, the OEM guidelines shall be adhered to and spares, supplied by OEM shall only be used while maintaining the apparatus. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical apparatus covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.

Further, following a review of the field trial performance report submitted by Jhanjra Project Colliery of M/s. Eastern Coalfields Ltd., Dishergarh, Burdwan(WB) and the performance report from the field office of this Directorate (D/y No. 194 dated 11.04.2019), the approved voltage and current ratings of the subject multipurpose unit have been revised from 1140V to 550V and from 400A to 150A, respectively.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
