Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof and intrinsically safe electricals & other mechanicals items of DGMS approval no. 567 of 2008 (as mentioned in Annexure-B) associated with Model: ACM 10 Continuous Miner, manufactured by M/s. Sandvik Mining and Construction GmbH, Austria for use in belowground coal mines in India– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/61461/2022/Electrical (HQ) dated 15.12.2022 on the above subject and test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 567 of 2008) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 515/979/EHQ dated 21.07.2008 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 02.05.2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
