Subject: Approval of Multi Gas Detector model VENTIS MX4 with pump for detection of LEL (Methane), Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Sulphide for use in underground coal and Metalliferous mines manufactured by M/s Industrial Scientific Corporation, USA, under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulation, 2017 and 141(5) of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961 having DGMS Approval No.SA-09/2014 - renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application ID No.62025, dated 05.08.2024 on the above subject.

The subject matter has been examined in light of information furnished in your application, test assessment report submitted earlier and the performance report. In view of the satisfactory performance report, I, in exercise of powers conferred upon me under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulation, 2017 and 141 (5) of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961 hereby renew the approval granted vide this Directorate's letter No. MSE-29022/41038/2021/MSE(HQ), dated 10.01.2022 for a further period of five years i.e. 19.11.2028.

All the condition stipulated in approval letter No. S-66021/09/2012-Genl/P-1078, dated 20.11.2014 which have been modified vide letter No. S-66021/09/2012-Genl/AP-71 dated 13.7.2016 shall remain unchanged and be strictly complied with.
