Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata conforming to IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 and IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 for use in belowground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62599/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 24/10/2025, on the above subject and CIMFR Test Report No. The test report no. IN/CIMFR/RTR20/766 dated 06/03/2020, CIMFR/FES/clarification/22-23/311 dated 08.12.2022 and BIS License No. CM/L-1855466 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 486 of 2002) granted vide this Directorate’s letter No. 335/175/EHQ dated 15.11.2002 for a further period of Five years, i.e. up to 07/12/2030 for use in below-ground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with and subject to submission of test report conforming to temperature class and Ingress protection test within 03 months from the issue date of this letter. In the event of non-compliance, the approval will be revoked.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
