Subject: Approval for renewal of Solar Copper Delay Detonators (0-6) for use in belowground coal mines/seams of first - and second - degree gassiness, under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 manufactured by M/s Solar Industries India Limited, Nagpur – extension of validity reg.

Please refer to your online vide application ID no. 62302 dated 08.04.2025 on the above subject.

In view of satisfactory performance report from the user mines, In exercise of the power conferred on the Chief Inspector of Mines also designated as Director General of Mines Safety under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, I, hereby  grant the renewal of the approval of  Solar Copper Delay Detonators (0-6) for use in belowground coal mines/seams of first - and second - degree gassiness, manufactured by M/s Solar Industries India Limited, Nagpur. The renewal of the Approval is subjected to the following conditions being strictly complied with:

1. All the conditions of the approval granted vide this Directorate vide letter No. S 66021/179/2006-Genl/516, dated 06.02.2007. shall remain unchanged except the validity of the approval.
2. All precaution in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 applicable for transport, storage, handling, charging, use and firing of the explosive in underground coal mines, shall be observed.
3. The validity of the renewal shall be for the period of 02 years i.e up to 31.03.2027 or till phase out of the electric detonator as per the guidelines and the timeframe governed by the Gazette Notification No.S.O. 1563(E)/or any updated notification of DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce, regarding phasing out of the electric detonator, whichever is earlier.
