Please refer to your online application No. E-29021|62427|2025|Electrical (HQ) dated 27.06.2025 on the above subject and test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 708 of 2016) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 515/1012/EHQ dated 17.05.2016 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 02.09.2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with, and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under this approval, conforming to the latest applicable testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
Condition: The latest applicable standard, IS/IEC 60079-11:2023, must be submitted to this Directorate within three (03) months from the date of issue of the renewal permission. Failing this, the permission is liable to be withdrawn without further communication
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
