Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for the Intrinsically safe telephone system, model no. KSPP-01(M), KSPP-02(M) with power supply unit manufactured by M/s.Kaizen Services Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-11:2011 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62212/2025/Electrical (HQ)dated 30.01.2025 on the above subject ERTL Test Report No.ERTL(E)/TES/K061/00015/09-21/NABL dated 08/11/2021, the associated drawing nos. as listed in Annexure-I of the above test report, BIS license no..CM/L-5245459, and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 628 of 2011) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 492/1082/EHQ dated 16.06.2011 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 16.06.2027 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India.
In the interest of safety, the OEM guidelines shall be adhered to, and spares supplied by the OEM shall only be used while maintaining the apparatus. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with, and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
Please note that the application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
