Subject:- Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for flameproof/intrinsically safe electrical apparatus(As mentioned in the appended Annexure-A) incrporated/associated with Road Header manufactured by M/s China Coal Overseas Development Co. Ltd, China conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017, IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 and IS/IEC 60079-11:2011 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India-Renewal thereof.

Ref No-: Test report nos.as appended below in the Annexure-A and the performance report submitted by the Agent of the Jhanjra Project Colliery vide letter no. AGENT/JAR/2023-24/662 dated: 04/08/2024 .

Please refer to your online application no. E-29021/61939/2024/Electrical (HQ) dated 07/06/2024 on the above subject and test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 747 of 2019) granted regular approval vide this Directorate's letter No.592/108/EHQ, Dhanbad, dated: 31/01/2019 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 31/01/2026 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India.

In the interest of safety, the OEM guidelines shall be adhered to and spares, supplied by OEM shall only be used while maintaining the machine/Equipment. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.

The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of this approval.
